Our featured speaker was Mr. Tom Guy a WW II Navy F6F Hell Cat pilot who, while patrolling Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945, happen to witness the Japanese surrender ceremony held aboard the US battleship USS Missouri, at which officials from the Japanese government signed the instrument of surrender, thereby ending the hostilities in World War II.

Four new members were introduced: LTC (Ret) Al Howe, LTC (Ret) Dave McLaughlin and wife Kathy, LTC (Ret) Steve Mannell and 2LT Andrea Candlish.

Lieutenant Candlish not only led the assembly in the Pledge of Alligiance to the flag to open the event, but also won the 50/50 raffle to close it.
