CFC MOAA BIENNIAL INSTALLATION DINNER/MEETING

The official installation of the new Chapter President and Board of Directors will take place on Friday, 25 January 2019 in the Lafayette Room of the Iron Mike Conference Center starting at 1700 hours.
The keynote speaker for the evening will be Lt. Gen. Dana Atkins, USAF, Retired, President and CEO of MOAA. General Atkins’ address will include a legislative update among other topics of interest. General Atkins will also administer the oath of office to the newly elected leadership team.
Chapter President Colonel (Ret) Juan Chavez will pass the gavel to Major (Ret) Ira Watkins and will step down after serving six consecutive years as Chapter President, longest tenure in the history of the chapter. The new president and board of directors will serve a 2-year term beginning January 2019.
This will be a major significant event for our chapter, not only because we shall witness a changing of the guard so-to-speak, but because this will be General Atkins first visit to our chapter since he assumed his current position as President of MOAA. Attendance at this event will be a manifestation of our respect and support of our association’s leaders from the local chapter to the National level.
